Enable the Post Submissions addon
Install and activate the addon from your WPEverest account. Open any form, go to Settings → Post Submissions, and flip the toggle on. Mapping fields appear immediately.
Add post submission fields
Drag Post Title, Post Content, Post Excerpt, and Post Featured Image onto the canvas. Label them for your visitors. All standard field options apply.
Map fields and configure post settings
Connect each field to its post property. Set Post Type, Post Status (Draft, Pending, Private, or Published), Post Author, and assign categories and tags — fixed or user-selected.
Publish and review submissions
Embed the form anywhere on your site. Submissions create posts or pages in the status you chose. Review, approve, or discard them from the standard WordPress posts list.

Can I accept file uploads like images or documents through the form?
Yes. The File Upload field (available on Pro) supports JPG, PNG, PDF, and most other common formats. You can set allowed file types and a maximum file size per field. Uploaded files are stored in your WordPress media library and linked directly to the submission entry.
How do I stop bots from flooding my submission form?
Everest Forms supports Google reCAPTCHA v2, reCAPTCHA v3, hCaptcha, and a built-in Honeypot field — all available on the free plan. For high-traffic forms, combining reCAPTCHA with the Honeypot field is the most effective setup. The Akismet integration adds a third layer of spam detection for sites that already use Akismet for comments.
Can I limit the form to logged-in users only?
Yes, via the User Registration and Restrictions add-on (Pro). You can restrict form access to logged-in users, or go further and limit it to specific WordPress roles such as Editor or Subscriber. This is useful when submission rights are tied to a paid membership or contributor account.
Where do I review submissions after they come in?
All submissions appear in the Entries section of your WordPress admin under Everest Forms. You can filter by form, date range, or read/unread status. Individual entries show every field response alongside any uploaded files. You can also export the full entry log to CSV, or connect Google Sheets to receive each submission as a new row automatically.
Can I charge a fee for submissions like paid directory listings?
Yes. The PayPal Standard integration (Pro) lets you require payment before the form entry is recorded. Set a fixed price per submission, and the entry only saves after the payment is confirmed. Stripe support is also available if you prefer card payments over PayPal.
Does conditional logic work on submission forms?
Yes. Conditional logic (Pro) lets you show or hide any field based on values entered in other fields. For example: show the “Upload supporting document” field only when the submitter selects “Sponsored” as the content type, or display a “Company name” field only when “Business” is chosen as the submitter type. You configure these rules without writing any code from the form builder settings panel.
