Which of these form types are available in the free version?
The free version of Everest Forms on WordPress.org covers standard contact forms. All eight advanced form types covered on this page and Multi-Step Forms, Conversational Forms, Surveys/Polls/Quiz, Frontend Listing, Post Submissions, Landing Page, Calculations, and QR Generator and are Pro features and require an active Pro license.
Can I combine multiple form types in the same form?
Yes, for several combinations. A multi-step form can include survey fields and a calculation output field. A conversational form can be published on a landing page. Post Submissions and Frontend Listing are designed to work together on the same form and one collects, the other displays. Some combinations (like Conversational + Multi-Step) are mutually exclusive by design.
Do multi-step forms save partial responses if the user closes the browser?
Everest Forms supports Form Abandonment tracking as a separate Pro addon, which captures partial entries before a user leaves the page. The Multi-Step addon itself does not persist data across browser sessions and it keeps data in memory during the session. Pairing it with the Form Abandonment addon covers the recovery use case.
Does the Calculations addon work with dropdown or checkbox fields, not just number inputs?
Yes. You can assign numeric values to dropdown options, radio buttons, and checkboxes via the field settings. The Calculations field then references those values by field ID in its formula. This lets you build pricing tables where each option selection changes the calculated total in real time.
Will the Landing Page addon break my existing theme styles?
The Landing Page addon suppresses the header and footer template parts for that specific page only and it does not touch your theme globally. Your other pages remain unaffected. The form page uses a minimal template with your choice of background color or image, and your theme’s base styles (typography, link colors) still apply to the form itself.
Can the QR code link to a pre-filled form?
The QR Generator creates a code pointing to the form’s standard URL. If you want a pre-filled form, you can append query parameters to the URL before generating the QR code, as long as your form fields are set to accept URL parameter pre-fill.
